Remember that life is short. ⏲
When we think of time, we tend to think of the ways that we measure the passage of time, a clock of some kind, or we think of a measurable interval of time, such as an hour or a minute. ⏰
Humanity has always been concerned with time, the passage of time, the measurement of time, and the scientific qualities of time. We talked about time travel, the relativity of time, the direction of time, and the wheel of time. ⏳
Islam teaches us that time passes quickly and never returns, it is irretrievable. It is also the most precious gift that humanity possesses, and it can be taken from us at any given moment. Allah is the one who gives and takes this time. 🤲
Time passes quickly and Allah reminds us in the Qur’an that months and years pass. But when we stand before Him on Judgment Day, our time on Earth will seem as if we have lived, dreamed, and worshiped for less than a day. ☝
A believer should not waste his precious time on things that will not bring him closer to his Creator. Acts that contain no benefits for himself, his society, or humanity in general, are usually wasted acts, wasted time. Islam classifies things according to their level of importance. The early Muslims used to capture and use every second of their time. 👴
Life is too short for gossip and grudges. Keep your heart pure, your tongue clean, and your mind focused. Every day we are reminded of our mortality and what should take priority in this life. 🙂
📜 – Of Abu Huraira said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Actually Allah does not look, neither your body, nor your image, but He looks at your hearts.”
The words of Allah in the Qur’an and the message of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) to the believers are clear: we human beings must be aware of time. 🏞
God reminds us that life in this world is only temporary and we do not know what the date is for our death. As believers, we should never waste or abuse time, but should value it as a blessing from Allah. 🤲
We must all understand that wasting even just a moment is an opportunity that goes away and never comes back. 🧐
