The phrase of the prophet that makes you think! 🕌
📜 The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“There are three destructive things in life: anger, greed, and excessive self-esteem.”
Anger is an emotional state that varies in intensity. It ranges from mild irritation to intense anger. Like other emotions, it is accompanied by psychological and biological changes. When you get angry, your heart rate and blood pressure go up, and so do your level of the energy hormones adrenaline and norepinephrine. 😡
Greed is the excessive desire of a person to have wealth and goods. In greed, people long for more than they need to live. Hence, it can lead people to conduct behaviors outside of morality and legality. What makes greed negative is the excessive and insatiable hunger for possessions, where there is no moderation or regard for others. 🤑
Excessive self-esteem is neither positive nor healthy. This overconfidence in oneself, as well as the hypervaluation of the ego, very often leads to very problematic behaviors and attitudes. An example of this we see in those people who advance through life with an air of superiority, refusing to accept their own mistakes and at the same time outlining the shadow of an obvious narcissism. 😎
Brother and Sisters always remember this phrase of our prophet Mohamed (ﷺ)! 💪
